From the President:
The club was again humming last Sunday morning with 40 participants at another Kantar lesson. Ditto to the Thank You’s from last week, especially to Jodi this time.
Our ability to use our club at any time of the week, day and night, is due to the fact that not only do we own our own premises, but we have 2 large areas available. Let’s remember with gratitude the farsighted people decades ago, some of whom are still members, who ensured that we are in this wonderful position.
Best wishes,
Pam
Christmas Raffle
The Christmas Raffle tickets are now on sale, and the raffle prizes on display for your enticement.
Tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5.
50% of the proceeds will go to Barnardos, and 50% to the Club.
October Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes from the October committee meeting are now available for download on the CBC Committee webpage.
Barnardos Christmas Gifts for Kids
Our Club will be collecting toy donations or monetary donations towards the Barnardos gifts for kids. Please leave all gifts unwrapped, before 16 Dec, to assist Barnardos staff with determining a suitable recipient for the gift.
An alternative way to donate a gift to Barnardos for a disadvantaged Australian child is through their online purchasing option. You can choose a gift from their ‘gift store’.
Working Bee
Saturday 30 November 9:30am, the Club needs helpers to setup Christmas decorations and other things. Please write your name on the sign-up list if you are able to come and help, to let us know roughly how many to expect.
All levels of ability are appreciated – whether you are able to climb ladders, or just advise on decorative positioning whilst sitting in a chair! Show some Spirit and lend a hand or an eye.
Southern Cross Community Benefits Program double bonus value
Members are reminded that they can give an early Christmas present to CBC. By eating and drinking at any of the Southern Cross Clubs during November and having assigned their Community Benefits to CBC ensures, that we receive double value for this month (November).
Assigning your benefits to CBC can be facilitated at any of the Southern Cross Clubs, or online direct and/or via our managers. If you are not already a member please consider joining Southern Cross Club and your family and friends can also assign their benefits to CBC as well.
This program serves as a very effective outside source of aid to CBC and very much equates to Santa coming early.
Renewing membership – new bank account
Membership renewals have now been sent out. Please note that this year the Club has a new bank account, and the BSB and account number for direct deposits has changed. If you renew by direct deposit, please ensure to check and update our bank account details that will be included on the renewals email.
Unknown Membership Bank Deposit
If you have made a $35 deposit to our Westpac Bank Account without a name or ABF number, please contact the office. It appears to be from an IMB Bank.
Library
We are currently replenishing the stock in our library and would appreciate any recent good reads.

- Non-members $15 (play and lunch)
- Regular table fees for play only
Gold coin for charity competitions will be held throughout the day.
